Prabhudasbhai Parekh, its visionary and committed founder, started his retail showroom Shilpa Lifestyle in Rajkot (Gujarat) in a 650 sq. ft. area on 10th October 1989. Then in 1992, came his elder son Bhaskar Parekh to join him to pave the way of their future success.

His younger son Hiren Parekh, an MBA from Madras University, Chennai, joined in 1994 to add some innovative concepts in their diamond jewellery business.
